Playing 3 Card Poker

The name of the game is ante and play, or pair plus. In the ante game, you place a bet, and then the dealer deals 3 cards to each player. The dealer gives himself 3 cards as well. For the dealer to qualify for the game, he must have a Queen or higher in his hand. The winner is determined by the ranking of the hands around the table.

In pair plus, the dealer doesn't play and only your cards matter. Each player bets on whether they think they will be handed a pair or better. Simultaneously, you are playing ante and play. A player makes a bet before he sees his hand and then must decide whether to bet again after looking at his cards. If he folds, then he loses his ante money. If he wants to bet, then he places his wager in the Play circle, and it must equal the ante bet. If he continues in the game, he will face off against the dealer.

The Queen is the magic card in 3 Card Poker. The 6 is the second most important card in 3 Card Poker. If you have a Queen, and your second card is a 6 or higher, stay in the game and play to win.
