3-Card Poker Gold

Most all online casinos feature the 3-card poker table game or more commonly known as Tri-Card Poker. However, Microgaming is known for its 3-card poker gold, which is part of the Gold Series of Poker. So what is 3-card poker gold? Read on to find out!

3-Card Poker Gold is basically two games in one and is played with a standard 52-card deck. The object of the game is to get a pair plus or win the ante game.

What is Pair Plus?

After being dealt 3 cards, you qualify for the pair plus if you have a pair. For example, if you have a pair, the payout is 1:1; if you have a flush, the payout is 4:1, for a straight, the payout is 6:1, for 3 of a kind, the payout is 30:1, and for a straight flush you receive 40:1.

The Ante Game

First, the dealer has to qualify by having a ‘Queen high’ or higher hand. If the dealer’s hand does not qualify, you are paid your play bet and your ante bet is doubled no matter what hand you have. If the dealer’s hand does qualify, the hand with the highest value wins. If yours is the hand with the higher value, you are paid out 1:1 on both the Ante and Play bets. The hands that qualify include: Straight Flush, 3 of a kind, straight, flush, pair, ace high, king high, and queen high.

Bonus Payouts

To receive a bonus payout, the following hands apply: straight flush, 3 of a kind, and a straight. One you have placed the ante, you are dealt 3 cards face up, the dealer gets 3 cards face down. If you have either the pair plus or better, you can continue to play. The amount you bet will be the same ante amount. If not, you can fold at any time.

3 Card Poker Gold Rules

You are only able to play 1 hand per game. For the dealer to qualify, the dealer must get at least a Queen high combination or higher. If the dealer qualifies in the ante game the hand with the highest value wins, if the dealer does not qualify you are paid your play bet and double your ante bet no matter what hand you have. The play bet is always equal to your ante and cannot be increased. To place a play bet, an ante bet must be placed on the table.

Payouts

To receive a pair plus payout, you must have a pair plus bet on the table. To receive an ante bonus payout, you must have an ante bet on the table. Ante Bonus or Pair Plus payouts do not depend on the dealer’s hand. You can bet on both the ante and pair plus bets at the same time.
